It was rather a happy coincidence that this year’s Fungi Trail fell upon UK Fungus Day, and a massive relief to find plenty of fungi despite a few dry weeks and a slightly shy display the previous weekend. The worries slipped away as we got our woodland eyes in and fungi of all shapes, sizes and colours popped out of the woodwork!
